Fight Record and Present History
Cejudo (14-2) is coming off of 2 shocking wins. First, at UFC 227, he finished the dominant reign of Demetrious Johnson and won the flyweight belt with unanimous decision. Then, in UFC Brooklyn at January, bantamweight champion, TJ Dillashaw was going down in weight to carry on Cejudo. In the end, the flyweight champion knocked Dillashaw outside in only 32 seconds to defend his name. The Olympic gold medalist also has noteworthy wins over the likes of Sergio Pettis, Jussier Formiga, and Wilson Reis, among others.
Moraes (22-5-1) is riding a four-fight winning streak with wins over Raphael Assuncao, Jimmie Rivera, Aljamain Sterling, and John Dodson. He has defeated Sheymon Moraes back in World Series of Fighting when he was winner. His only loss from the UFC was his debut from Assuncao, but he got the win back earlier this year.

There’s a clear path to success for both Cejudo and Moraes inside this fight. In the event the flyweight champion can utilize his Olympic wrestling as he did against Johnson then he’ll grind out a decision triumph. To get Moraes, he wants to use his explosiveness to stuff that the takedowns and keep Cejudo in a range where he could pick him apart with his jab.
