The NBA season that is old is and also the NBA season feels so far away. All the crucial free agents are signed, Summer League is in the novels, and all we’ve got is fantasies of games to come and your NBA schedule release.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about the MVP race of next season. This year was a runaway win for James Harden, but 2017’s race between Harden and Russell Westbrook was an all-timer, and next year’s race looks wide open.
What does it take to acquire NBA MVP? Three enormous criteria stand out:
He has to score a good deal. Basketball is much more than simply scoring, but MVPs are in the thick of their race that is scoring.

He has to have a narrative.
That last point is the most significant of all. The NBA MVP tells the story of the season, and voters need to buy into that story. Did a candidate overcome something? Did everyone surprise? Can he prove he is really»precious,» whatever that means?
